Becoming a Client

OVAHS is a government-funded service, in order to meet our funding obligations our patients must satisfy the criteria below:

• Have a current Medicare card
• Must be of Aboriginal or Torres straight Islander descent or their partners and families (partners may be of non-Aboriginal/Torres straight Islander descent

If you don’t have a current Medicare card and you are known in the community, we can help you arrange one.

If our reception staff do not know you then you can sign a Statutory Declaration to confirm your status
